NEUERO conveyors use a heavy duty gearbox to drive the turbo fans since experience has shown them to be more reliable and precise than belt drives. This means no down time to adjust or replace belts during harvest. Gear drive minimizes side stress placed on bearings and shaft which, again, contributes to longer equipment life and less maintenance. All components, from the box tube frame to the main cyclones are heavy duty construction, and designed to give years of trouble free use. |

| Filter Receiver model for transfer of resins, powders, free-flowing material. | Standard model for transfer of plastic pellets or other granular material. |
The NEUERO model 660P is completely portable and offers a low cost method of transfer to truck, railcar, packaging, or storage. Can be used in-plant as an auxiliary system. Available with gas, diesel, or electric power. Stainless Steel components are available as well as a filter receiver.
Turbo Fan design limits wear for years of reliable service with a minimum of maintenance. Simple, one man operation. Capable of conveying material several hundred feet into vertical storage or remote locations.

NEUERO model 6110DP Terminal Transfer Model
for pellets and granular material
This portable plastics transfer unit was sold to Hinds Company as an auxiliary system to supplement their stationary system for unloading railcars. The addition of the model 6110 allows the company to double their unloading capacity as well as adding flexibility to their unloading operation.
With the addition of the NEUERO model 6110, two different operations, such as filling silos and bulk trucks, can be performed simultaneously. In addition two different products can be off loaded at the same time. If the plant system is down for service or maintenance, production can continue by connecting the NEUERO to the system piping or by loading direct from the railcar. Because the NEUERO is portable, it can be positioned anywhere in the terminal for maximum efficiency or be used at a remote location when required.
| Capacity | 100,000 lbs./hr |
| Product | pellets, granulars |
| Construction | Box frame, tandem axle, highway towable |
| Components | Stainless steel contact surfaces when required |
| Power | Diesel or Electric |
Multiport - Rail Mounted
A rail mounted Multiport is generally used in a specialised terminal such as a port silo, a flour mill or a feed mill. A continuous flow of material is essential for the greatest efficiency of the overall discharging operation. The power normally via a cable drum but the layout varies according to the shore installation. In these circumstances the most efficient method of unloading is achieved through a combination of standard components with custom made parts.
In Fig. 5 the boom has been lowered to the ground to make maintenance easier. In this position it is also ideal for anchoring it down in areas such as those which are prone to typhoons.
Roots-Blower Advantages
- a roots-blower quickly attains the full number of revolutions;
- the power demand in the partial-load range is lower.
Roots-Blower Disadvantages
- in the range of partial load, the conveying speed is higher, i.e. wear on the conveyor pipe and breakage of the conveying material will be greater;
- a conveying speed once chosen can only be altered with considerable expenditure;
- due to the low-frequency noises (pulsating conveying air flow), expensive noise dampening equipment will be necessary;
- in order not to exceed the operating pressures, a control device must be installed;on account of the narrow piston clearance,
- the roots-blower is sensitive to foreign matter, i.e., filter cleaning of the conveying air is required;
- after a longer period of use, the piston clearance becomes larger and leads to capacity losses.
The advantageous use of turbo-blowers in pneumatic ship unloading plants can be seen from this list of advantages and disadvantages; therefore, NEUERO has always chosen this way and used the single stage radial high-capacity blower as major components of its conveying installations.
Introduction
This journal has already dealt in detail with pneumatic ship unloading plants in general, as well as with their components and properties (bulk solids handling, Vol. 2....) That is why we will focus here on the compressor for producing the conveying air, since the advantages and disadvantages of the different aggregates have lately been discussed intensively because of the additional use of turbo-blowers for ship unloading plants with a higher capacity.
In order to convey a material flow in a pipeline, a certain air volume flow is necessary that shows a pressure drop over the pipeline length. Volume flow and decrease of pressure will be determined by the type of material to be conveyed, the througput, the pipeline and the pipeline length. It is part of the know-how of various manufacturers for pneumatic ship unloading plants to design a plant in an optimal way. Two basically different types of blowers can be chosen to generate the air volume flow: the turbo-blower, or the rotary piston blower, also called the roots-blower. Both types can offer the required data, such as volume flow and differential pressure, in comparable dimensions.

ENGINEERING
During engineering of your installation, we will adjust all details to the conditions at your site. Whether to modify an existing plan to your necessities or to build a new kind of unloading / loading plant - all is possible. We will find the right solution for you.
PRODUCTION
During production we certainly observe to use high quality material and parts of hand-picked sub-suppliers. Our people are well- educated specialists with experience in pneumatic conveying and all similar lines. All machinery parts are being inspected and tested before leaving the factory.
TRANSPORT
Most of our components are being delivered in containers, or smaller components in cases and crates - in seaworthy packing when shipment by ocean freight is necessary - or in light packing for airfreight cargoes. In Europe, we also use trucks and railway transport for a quick and meticulous delivery of all parts.

ASSEMBLY AND COMMISSIONING
For installation and commissioning of the goods, we will send our supervisor who will instruct your local personnel for assembly of the units and for training of the later operators at the same time. Of course it is always possible to send a team for complete installation of unloaders as turnkey versions.
In case you have an old shipunloader, loader or conveyor you want to have refurbished, we will help you working out a concept for modernization of your installation - with or without increase of capacity. |
